Homeowners Can Receive Tax Credit for Wayne-Dalton Insulated Garage Doors
Wayne-Dalton is pleased to announce that homeowners have a great tax incentive for purchasing an insulated garage door this year.
Tax code revisions have been approved by Congress that entitle eligible homeowners to tax credits for energy saving home improvements, which include insulated garage doors.
Any eligible insulated garage door purchased in 2009 and 2010 can earn up to a 30% credit on material costs with a maximum of $1500 for that time period. Certain guidelines apply as stipulated in the attached certificate. The credit applies to garage doors purchased from Jan. 1, 2009, through Dec. 31, 2010.
To be eligible, a homeowner must have the insulated garage door installed on an insulated garage that is part of his/her principal residence. The door must have a U-factor equal to or less than 0.30 and there must be a means to control air filtration on all sides of the door perimeter. It is recommended that you consult your accountant or tax preparer to be sure about your compliance.
