Wayne-Dalton launches new Z-Wave® Home Controls products: 3-Way Dimmer Switch and Light Kit

Wayne-Dalton has released two new products for its line of Z-Wave Home Controls, a 3-way dimmer switch and a light kit. These products can tie in with Wayne-Dalton's Z-Wave enabled garage door openers, the idrive PRO and prodrive models, giving homeowners the ability to control their lights from their cars, as well as from within their homes.

The dimmer, which has dim and on/off settings, comes with a wireless control but can also be used manually. It can replace existing wall switches with incandescent loads and fits today's stylish decora wall plates.

In addition, the Wayne-Dalton Z-Wave enabled light kit is now available as a separate accessory for the Z-Wave enabled idrive PRO® or any other of its related devices and controllers.

The light can be used with a small spiral compact fluorescent lamp (CFLs), a 15W Type-A lamp or a maximum 19W compact fluorescent. (The 19W CFL equals 75W incandescent.) It can be incorporated into any wireless Z-Wave home network.

Multiple light kits can be linked to a Z-Wave enabled operator. A five minute timer on the opener can turn the light on and off. In addition, a multi-function wireless wall station light button is available that can operate the Z-Wave enabled light kit.

The networking Z-Wave wireless system is widely becoming a leading residential home automation and control technology for mainstream residential use. Z-Wave products help save energy and increase home safety and security.
